Performing Arts Tutor / Chaperone (Mentee) - Volunteer
I’m Charlotte, I’m 13 years old, and I’m proud to be a performer in Dare to Dream with Take Part Wellbeing CIC. This project has been such an incredible experience. My favourite part has been working with younger children and getting to perform alongside my friends — it’s the best feeling when everyone supports each other and the show comes alive.
One of my happiest memories is singing and dancing to Try Everything and rehearsing How Far I’ll Go with the mentees. I remember feeling proud and full of energy; those moments made me realise how much I love performing.
Dare to Dream has helped me step out of my comfort zone and grow more confident on stage. I’ve learned teamwork, patience, and how to stay positive even when rehearsals get tough. To me, daring to dream means having the confidence to follow your goals, even when they feel out of reach.
Take Part has taught me that it’s okay to pause, breathe, and keep going when things feel overwhelming. It’s such a welcoming, inspiring, and inclusive place where everyone belongs. This project has reminded me that performing isn’t just about the show — it’s about finding joy, pride, and connection through creativity.
If I had to describe how Dare to Dream has made me feel in one word, it would be passionate.
