From an early age Leanne Chance has been a performer. After an extremely successful 20 year performance career Leanne became a Mum… and everything changed. Through parenting by instinct and following her baby’s cues Leanne became fascinated in how a baby learns and grows. During lockdown Leanne has expended this knowledge by studying Child Psychology, gaining a level 5 qualification which covered areas such as Attachment, Social and Emotional Development and Moral Development. If you want to hear more about Leanne’s improved skill set to bring to the pupils of Take Part please read on.Read more

Roxy Verdon has a passion for Music as we know, but she also has a passion for inclusivity. Her student centred approach is one of the very many attributes she brings to our offer at Take Part. Speech Therapy is just one of the essential parts of Roxy’s delivery blended throughout her lesson plans, to ensure optimum communication whether through singing, acting or in every day life. Roxy’s pivot on Lockdown 1.0 was to enhance her Level 3 TA qualification through to a Level 5 whilst up-skilling her vocal qualifications. We are thrilled with Roxy’s achievement, and so proud of this new qualification she has gained as continued professional development. If you want to hear more about Roxy’s improved skill set to bring to the pupils of Take Part please read on.Read more

At Take Part we pride ourselves on quality education. The Take Part Teaching Standards have been designed to set out a basic framework within which our teaching staff operate. Appropriate self-evaluation, reflection and professional development activity is critical to improving our teachers’ practice. The standards set out clearly the key areas in which a Take Part teacher should be able to assess their own practice, and receive feedback from our Senior Leadership Team. October half term gives us the opportunity to train and mentor our Student Tutors in teaching a quality provision at Take Part, in a safe and informative way.Read more
