Mental Health First Aider - BRAND NEW

This week Louise completed the Mental Aid First Aider course and is now part of a joined-up, bigger picture approach to mental health and wellbeing.

Her role is to act as a grassroots point of contact and reassurance for anyone who may be experiencing a mental health issue or emotional distress. We all have mental health, and just like our physical health, it needs looking after. One in 4 of us will experience a mental health issue in any given year.

We don’t need to wait until we are struggling with our mental health. There are lots of things we can do to protect ourselves and stop issues from getting worse, just as we do with our physical health.  We aim to support children, young people and adults to feel more confident in understanding mental health, and to take action to improve and manage how they are feeling.  Together, we can build simple changes into your daily life – such as reframing unhelpful thoughts, breathing exercises and increasing physical activity.

Within the business Louise will be looking at our organisational policies and procedures to support the mental health of our employees as an effective approach to fostering a healthy workplace.

If you are struggling, you’re not alone.  There are plenty of different types of support out there, and as a Mental Health First Aider Louise can now help you access them.

Please do not hesitate to contact Louise or Take Part if you, or someone you are concerned about, are experiencing a mental health issue or emotional distress.  We offer non-judgmental support.
