How to Stay Occupied During Half Term

18 Feb 2021

Hurray we made it! (cue: *happy dance!)

Under normal circumstances, I would be looking forward to half-term as I would get some quality time with my boy as he’d have been at school and I’d have been working since the beginning of January.  As it is, we have been doing everything together at home since the middle of December, so it’s time to think outside the box… again!

At Take Part we’re all about caring, sharing, daring and preparing so I’d like to share with you a few ideas for mixing it up with your children and young people over half term.

Pancake Day

Don’t forget to Take Part in pancake day tomorrow, email your creations over to info@wearetakepart.com and we can show your culinary delights on our social media sites.

Random Acts of Kindness Day

Wednesday is Random Acts of Kindness Day and we would like to share your kindness throughout our Take Part community.  Celebrated on February 17th, National Random Acts of Kindness Day has grown in popularity each year. It is celebrated by individuals, groups and organisations, nationwide, to encourage acts of kindness, a great opportunity to Take Part.

National Love your Pet Day

Saturday 20 February is National Love Your Pet Day and it’s a great day to show your love for our little furry friends. Whether you’re a cat lover, a dog lover or you’ve got a family of chimpanzees sharing your home with you, today’s the day to spoil them even more than you normally do and show them how much they mean to your family.  Send your photos, drawings or paintings of your pets to info@wearetakepart.com and let them Take Part !

Sweeney Todd Watch Party

THIS TUESDAY we are hosting our very own watch party of Sweeney Todd (Johnny Depp & Helena Bonham Carter).  If you’d like to come along, just simply email info@wearetakepart.com

We’ll send you the joining instructions for our half term event. This event is for adults only (18+) and it’s completely free of charge. We thought you might want a night out ‘in’ during half term… with a glass of something refreshing… and a pie (or a pancake)!
