AAA/P&P Tuesday Evening - Show Business Programme

I think what Take Part is offering is incredibly exciting and it's difficult to see where else these students could access such a quality provision of this standard outside of formal education settings.

Elliot Ditton – Designer & Performance Artist

As part of the AAA/P&P ‘Show Business’ Tuesday Evening Programme we are hosting a series of Q&A’s with visiting industry professionals. This week we were delighted to start this off with the very special Elliot Ditton!

Elliot is a very talented designer and performing artist – his most recent work being Puppetry & Mask Deputy Assistant for The Lion King UK and Ireland Tour!

The Show Business aspect of the AAA/P&P programme is designed to give our students a holistic outlook on the wider industry.  Our Business Development & Relationships Manager, Dan, says “In bringing professionals of this calibre in to speak to the students they will ultimately be inspired and and have a wider understanding of the industry so many of them seek to pursue careers within. Our programme has, since September, already looked into public speaking, concepts and principles of business, crowdfunding, teacher training, theatre-making – forming a theatre company and developing a piece, personal statements for onward training and now the exciting introduction of our ‘Visiting Professional’ Q&A’s. I have no doubt that all participants of this programme will be enriched by these experiences – I am envious at how much exposure they will have had at such a young age! Most students I’ve previously worked with would not have had such high quality, specialist training even by the time they had reached me at university level, so I think what Take Part is offering is incredibly exciting and it’s difficult to see where else these students could access such a quality provision of this standard outside of formal education settings.”

The Tuesday Evening ‘Show Business Programme’ will continue to run right through to the end of the academic year and we have an exciting line up of individuals for subsequent Q&A sessions. Watch this space for further details!
