Ellen Bond
Inclusion Team - DBS Update Service
I am a qualified Drama Teacher, creative practitioner and member of the Take Part Inclusion Team, bringing a calm, inclusive and emotionally attuned approach to supporting children and young people. With an Enhanced DBS and experience working within creative arts, mentoring and wellbeing settings, I specialise in helping young people build confidence, connection and self-expression through safe and engaging creative experiences.
Alongside my work at Take Part, I am also a Director, Playwright and Performer through RAGABOND Theatre under the name FOXBOND. Storytelling, theatre and creativity have always been at the heart of who I am. After making my mark on the West End at a young age, I’ve continued to champion imagination, play and authentic self-expression through both performance and community work.
As a proudly neurodivergent practitioner, I bring empathy, creativity and understanding into every session I deliver. I believe young people thrive when they feel accepted, emotionally safe and able to express themselves freely without fear of judgement. My aim is always to create spaces where children feel seen, valued and included exactly as they are.
My work focuses heavily on inclusion, emotional wellbeing and belonging. Through role play, storytelling, mindfulness, movement and reflective activities, I support children and young people to develop:
- Confidence and self-belief
- Emotional regulation and self-awareness
- Communication and social interaction skills
- Teamwork and positive relationships
- Resilience and problem-solving
- Creativity, imagination and self-expression
Following a recent cultural journey across Japan — including Kyoto, Osaka and Nara — I further developed my interests in mindfulness, meditation, Tai Chi, Kung Fu and wellbeing practices, all of which continue to influence my work with young people at Take Part.
Within the Take Part Community, I play a central role in helping children feel safe, connected and included. My nurturing, reflective and creative approach supports young people to thrive emotionally, socially and creatively whilst reinforcing Take Part’s belief that every child matters and deserves a true sense of belonging.
