Zoe Eastwood
Studied at Laine Theatre Arts, London
The moment I started Take Part I was welcomed into a family. This family gave me support and confidence throughout high school and college. From watching me in my first Laine show to just having a person to talk to, their support continued throughout my performing arts journey.
This place has given me a home and has made me into the person I am today. Take Part made me realise it’s not all about how well you sing but it’s why we sing. It is a place you feel accepted and everyone is your friend.
In the lead up to my auditions I knew how to present myself, and not just when I’m performing! For example, etiquette in auditions and during a performance as well as simply holding a door open for someone. I found this to be just as important as being able to sing and dance.
Take Part also took me out of my comfort zone and without this I would never have auditioned for stage school. When I got accepted, to say I was nervous was an understatement. I needed someone to talk to, but I was given the best advice and I wouldn’t be where I am today without it. It’s also a place I could be heard and listened to in a world you can often feel overlooked.
Take Part reminds people that everyone is important, and no one is brushed aside. I know I am always welcome here and that I will always be part of Take Part.
