Chicago: Youth Edition

Performed by our Stage 4 Theatrical Experience students.

A multi-award winning musical written by Kander and Ebb, and most famously directed and choreographed by Bob Fosse. This musical begins in roaring twenties Chicago, as Roxie Hart (an aspiring vaudeville actress) murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the wrath… until he finds out he’s been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and famous nightclub singer Velma Kelly, compete for the spotlight and headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the “American Dream”: fame, fortune, and acquittal.

Based on real-life murders and trials this show is funny, intelligent and has become a spectacle for women’s empowerment and liberation.
