WE ARE CASTING!!!
On Saturday 9th April we are producing High School Musical at Glossopdale School and we are looking for our amazing cast.
To be part of our ensemble no audition is necessary – if you are new to Take Part we just ask for you to fill a quick register interest form (Step 1). BUT if you would like to audition for a principal role please follow our 3 Easy Steps on how to audition…
We also would like to highlight that children/young people of any gender can audition for any of the principle roles and the production is a fully inclusive show.

Step 1 - Sign Up!
To ‘take part’ in our production of Matilda please complete our register interest form below:
If you are already a pupil and want to audition for a principle role, please skip this step and follow steps 2 & 3.
Step 2 - Pick your character
Below we have the music and lyrics for all of our principle roles where you can decide which roles you would like to audition for. To audition you must learn the song allocated to your character and send a video recording to us via Step 3 below. You do not have to perform the whole song but we do ask for a minimum recording of one minute.
You can audition for more than one role but you must please note this in your sign up form in Step 1 – Sign Up!
Character Descriptions
Troy Bolton
Character Description
Troy Bolton is the most popular kid at East High, he’s the star of the basketball team who yearns to be more than what people want him to be. Troy discovers his love for music but refuses to admit it, he’s athletic and a true leader and becomes smitten with Gabriella.

Gabriella Montez
Character Description
Gabriella Montez is the new girl at school. She’s trying to blend in and avoid labels at her new school and eventually becomes Troy’s romantic counterpart.

Sharpay Evans
Character Description
Sharpay Evans is the egocentric, diva star of the school musicals, she’s Ryan’s twin and the alpha dog. She thinks being the musical star defines her and clutches the title like her life depends on it, not matter what the cost to others.

Ryan Evans
Character Description
Ryan Evans, Sharpay’s fraternal twin and a self-delusional star in the making. He typically feels the brunt of Sharpay’s attacks and lives under her shadow, although he possesses a diva exterior he yearns to change.
