9 to 5 Jr. Auditions
WE ARE CASTING!!!
On the 5th of July 2026 we are producing “9 to 5 Jr.” at Youth Matters New Mills and we are looking for our incredible cast…
Auditions for this production will be primarily conducted via Self Tape. Deadline for Submissions is 12pm on the 4th April 2026.
Please submit all 9 to 5 auditions to JAZZ@wearetakepart.com via Email Attachment, Youtube Unlisted, DropBox, WeTransfer, or any means you deem suitable.
Please include in your email the auditionee’s name and character they are auditioning for.
Upon receipt of your audition you will receive confirmation. If you do not receive confirmation please follow up.
While Auditions will be primarily held via Self Tape, we understand this isn’t for everyone, and would like to extend the option to have an in-person audition to anyone who this would benefit. Due to limited availability Self Tape is still the preferred submission type, however we would much rather people reach out and schedule an in person session than not audition! In Person sessions will be held at the Coach House.
If you would like to schedule an in-person audition, please reach out to TOM@wearetakepart.com to organise a mutually convenient time for yourselves, Jazz, and Tom, who is remaining with Take Part behind the scenes over the next couple weeks to help facilitate the auditions and casting of the Summer Term Productions.

Below we have the music and lyrics for all of the principle roles, you can decide which part you would like to audition for. Please choose only one song and character to audition with, you will be considered for all roles.
The resources below contain the full tracks for each song. Please don’t feel obligated to learn more than outlined in the score.
We also would like to highlight that children/young people of any gender can audition for any of the principle roles and the production is a fully inclusive show.

We encourage all Auditionee’s to conduct some personal research into each of the characters before selecting their audition piece. As mentioned there are more characters than listed below, if you would like to audition for a Character not listed below, please utilise an audition piece below but highlight your true choice upon submission.

Violet Newstead
Character Description
Has worked at Consolidated for fifteen years, and she knows the ropes. Ambitious, capable, and professional, Violet has her sights set on a promotion, even as she navigates the challenges of being a single mom.
DORALEE RHODES
Character Description
A warm, personable “country gal” who wants to make friends in the office but doesn’t realize that Mr. Hart is spreading rumors about her. Doralee prefers to turn the other cheek but isn’t afraid to stand up for herself and others.
Judy Beryl
Character Description
A meek housewife who is stepping outside her comfort zone by entering the working world. Though Judy lacks confidence and struggles to control her emotions when she begins at Consolidated, by the end of the show, she is a force to be reckoned with.
Franklin Hart
Character Description
The worst kind of boss. He’s pompous, belittles his employees, and takes credit for other people’s work.
Roz Keith
Character Description
Mr. Hart’s loyal assistant. Though she carries a torch for her boss, she keeps it professional, preferring to spy on the other Employees and report their behavior to stay on his good side.
Dwayne
Character Description
Doralee’s husband. He’s a sweetheart who adores Doralee and is supportive of her career choices.

Character Description
Doralee’s husband. He’s a sweetheart who adores Doralee and is supportive of her career choices.
